The Flying T

"If you done it, it ain't braggin'" - Walt Whitman

Tony was the weird kid with the tall tales, who played as a one-man-band at his high school talent show (guitar, harmonica, bass drum, hi-hat). He was a character in the New Wave music scene in Tulsa, OK in the mid 80s. The recent gift of an accordion and the revelations of a capo, have led to a renaissance of creative longing to make new music and perform live again. He is based in Minnesota where he performs with bassist Tom Pieper and mandolin player Neal Doss.

Press / Reviews

Tony Mills, doing business as the Flying T, writes music of gentle intensity. His “Rabbits with Knives,” with its moral and poetic force and big-sky beauty, put me in mind of Phil Ochs and Marty Robbins. I look forward to hearing more. ” - Dylan Hicks
